A templom, amely Wälder Gyula építész főműve, a kerület egyik látványossága.

A ciszterci szerzetesrend az 1900-as évek elején telepedett meg a Feneketlen-tó partján, és hamarosan templom-, valamint iskolaépítésbe kezdtek. Ezek közül a Szent Imre-templom és a Szent Imre Gimnázium ma is látható a tó szomszédságában.

Az ablakok és ajtók köré csoportosított, burjánzó ornamentikával ellátott dekoráció igen jellemző az építész, Wälder Gyula, munkásságára.

A több mint egy hektár területű Feneketlen-tó helyén egykor téglagyár működött, és a jelenlegi tó medréből gyűjtötték az agyagot. 1877-ben a munkások vízfolyást találtak, mikor mélyítették a gödröt. A monda szerint a munkások a szélrózsa minden irányába menekültek a gödröt feltöltő víz elől, de regélnek arról is, hogy volt, akit elnyelt a tó vize. Az igazság inkább az lehet, hogy a víz szép lassan töltötte csak fel a gödröt.

A tó és a körülötte elterülő park kedvelt pihenőhely.
